Son of a beer and wine merchant. In 1713, he founded a bookstore with a publishing house and antiquarian bookshop and was listed in the Amtsbüchlein (official register) from 1713 to 1747. Named from 1718 to 1747. In 1726, he established a branch in Vienna. The company was located on Dielinggasse (later Theresienstraße). By 1739, the publishing house had published approximately 370 titles, including valuable copperplate engravings and mathematical and astronomical works. He also published Mikovinyi's 36 Nuremberg prospectuses and a costume series with 55 engravings. In 1730, he published Johann Gabriel Doppelmayr's "Historical Report on the Nuremberg Mathematicians and Artists." Grave No. 673 in St. John's Cemetery.
