From the collection: Memories of Franconian Switzerland, the most interesting views of it,

carried out in tone print by Th.Rothbart (without year)

The series was advertised in the Würzburger Anzeiger on June 15, 1864, for one gulden and 30 kreuzer. Earlier (around 1840), a series entitled "The Franconian Switzerland. Cycle of the most interesting points in the vicinity of Muggendorf and Streitberg" had been published in Nuremberg, featuring illustrations by Th. Rothbart based on preliminary drawings by Carl Kaeppel (1822-1883). These illustrations differ from those of the later series.
