Rothbart

Son of Johann Georg, gold and silver wire manufacturer; brother of Theodor. He was a student of H. L. Petersen in Nuremberg, later working in Stuttgart. From 1855 he lived in Munich, where he became curator of the royal graphic collection. In 1857 the address L. 357 (Karolinenstraße 17) was still mentioned for him in Nuremberg. There are numerous watercolors and pencil drawings by him with Nuremberg motifs. He engraved several plates for the "Nuremberg Memorial Book" with the main title "Complete collection of all architectural monuments, monuments and other curiosities of Nuremberg" based on the models of Johann Georg Wolff, published in the years 1845ff.
