According to Grieb, Nürnberger Künstlerlexikon, Georg Philipp Höfler lived in Ludwig- Feuerbach-Straße 19 in 1906. He was a civil engineer as well as an architect and is considered to be a representative of the so called Nuremberg Style.

The corner house in Johannisstraße 68 is a building designed and built by him in 1899, which is important with regard to urban planning (Two different drafts have been preserved in the building registry).
