Son of Johann Conrad (b. 7.3.1651), novellant and postal clerk. ∞ 16.11.1670 Anna Catharina (b. 17.2.1643), daughter of the painter Johann Minckh the Younger, four sons, one daughter.

Trained as a flat painter. The inscription cartouche signed by him on the 1679 epitaph for Hieronymus Gutthäter shows that he also worked as an etcher. On November 13, 1678, he acquired the corner house on Obere Krämersgasse/Bergstraße. His widow married the pane cutter Johann Frühinsfeld on 26.7.1687.
