Frei (Frey)

became a citizen in 1472 and paid 2 fl. Possibly identical with the carver Sisto Frei,

1500/15 verifiable in Trentino, son of an Enrico Frei from Nuremberg.

He lived in Trento since 1511. Works: BERGAMO, Cappella Colleoni: Equestrian statue of Bartolomeo Colleoni for his tomb, wood, gilded, c. 1500. TRIENT, Cathedral: Crucifix with assistant figures. (...)
