Son of the painter Nicolaus Moritz Kleemann.

Trained with his father. Until 1770 he worked in Nuremberg. He painted landscapes, architectural pieces and created numerous copperplate engravings with city views. Furthermore he painted natural produce for the Nuremberg publishing house Georg Wolfgang Knorrs Erben. From 1770 on he lived in Ulm. (...)
