Georg Joseph Förster was an architect of Historism who worked as a building magistrate in Nuremberg from 1892 to 1899. The well preserved building of the Social Court in the place of which the Zacharias Bath from the Late Gothic period was demolished is considered to be his main work. Whereas the outer building and the lobby mainly show elements of Renaissance Revival Förster chose a kind of Gothic Revival for the stairwell.
