Dutch artist, stayed in Nuremberg around 1862/66 and exhibited at the Albrecht Dürer Verein. 1866 in Munich, 1875 in Great Britain verifiable.
quoted from the Nuremberg Künstlerlexikon, edited by Manfred H. Grieb
Apparently he moved away from Nuremberg in 1866 without much fuss, since Heinrich Schrag from Nuremberg placed the following advertisement in the Börsenblatt für den deutschen Buchhandel Leipzig on June 1 of that year: "Should any of my colleagues be aware of the current whereabouts of a Mr. Huibers, painter from Holland, who has been living in Nuremberg for a while, I would like to thank him in advance for his help. Notification".
Later Huibers was particularly active as a genre painter and taught since the 1880s at the Rijksnormaalschool for drawing teachers in Amsterdam
