† before March 5, 1506. ∞ Magdalena († after 1506). Son of the stonemason Hans von Eschenbach, who was granted citizenship in 1464 and who helped build the east choir of St. Lorenz in 1466-67. In 1496 Sebald von Eschenbach became master in Nuremberg. In 1500 he received permission to live in Amberg for four years without giving up his citizenship, but he had to pay his password in Nuremberg and fulfill his other civic duties. In Amberg he held the office of city master. On March 5, 1506, his widow acknowledged receipt of 240 fl. for the sacrament house he built in Schwabach.
