1727-56 he was registered as a copperplate engraver in the Ämterbüchlein (a booklet with entrances of members of specific professions, who had to swear an annual oath of allegiance not to cause any harm to the city state of Nuremberg by their professional activities); in 1757 his name was canceled.

Views of locations, portraits and mythological pictures by him are known.

Style: Baroque
