1904
The rear façade facing the courtyard is decorated with a flat, rectangular oriel. It stands above the barrel of the passage. The lateral wall adopts the principle of division into two parts by means of a bar with a hanging keystone. The connection of the two wall segment arches is masterly. From the small courtyard one descends (on the left) into the notorious "hole prisons".
Pablo de la Riestra
A group of Nuremberg councillors is added to the picture as figurative staffage, to whom a city servant in red and white clothing hands the petition of a poor woman waiting at the gateway.
