When one thousand four times a hundred and eighty years of the Lord / Had fallen in the blooming light of heaven, / The excellent father in Christo Herr Johannes / Herr von Hürnheim went into the hereafter / One thousand and four times a hundred, also fifty(!) and three / Years of the Lord were over, since he began to rule this place as abbot. / Finally, after seven solstices, he changed it with a pious mind. / Ruling the helm as helmsman in troubled times / He presided over the colegium as first provost honourably, faithfully / And well./

At last he reigned barely a spring / and (then) chose another wise man. / Albert von Rechberg by name, venerable and / excellent, he enfeoffed her. / In the one thousand and five hundred and second year, / after the virgin gave birth, he ascended to the heavenly city./ To both their souls we ask the blissful, eternal rejoicing. / May they enjoy the joy of supreme peace!
