Bratwursthäusle

Bratwursthäusle View at the foot of St. Sebaldus Church

Bratwursthäusle

1959 to 1960

View at the foot of St. Sebaldus Church

The Bratwursthäusle is the third building in this place after the „Schau“ and later on the guard watch station. The house, having become a truly Nuremberg institution reflects in its exterior architecture the moat towers whith hipped roofs of Spittlertorgraben. In a place especially sensitive place as regards the urban development the house shows the subtle approach of Seegy. Although it is modern it comprises historic parts, e. g. the two wood chambers from the 16th c., which come, as the other paneling from a farm house in Upper Palatine. Dr. Pablo de la Riestra

Location: Nuremberg, Rathausplatz 1

Design: Seegy, Friedrich
