Coat of arms for Benedikt Fels: V with an inscribed B, flanked by two six-pointed stars.

As early as February 25, 1527, the sugarmaker Benedikt Fels (d. Sept. 1552) married Anna Greffin (d. 1556) in St. Sebald Church as his second wife. The two escutcheons represent the sugarmaker's two wives, Ursula (house mark) and Anna (two diagonal stakes on a three-peaked hill, a bricklayer's hammer in the chief).

In 1534, Benedikt Fels acquired the house at Hauptmarkt 5, where he lived until his death. Valentin Dretzel was mentioned as its owner in 1568.
