Bronze sculptures from the pair, donated in 1615 by Count Johann Casimir von Lynar, "Allegro" and "Andante" "The brass-colored figurines, commissioned by the city of Nuremberg and titled 'Allegro' and 'Andante' by the artist in reference to their location, (...) The Nuremberg Opera House, dating from the turn of the century, underwent interior renovations around 1935. On this occasion, the "Two Female Figures"—a common term—were acquired by the city in 1936.
