In the year 1547, on the 5th day of July, the Wolgelert and staunch Sebastian Schedel was murdered in the Nuremberg Forest.

(January 14, 1520 - July 5, 1547). Nuremberg patrician; He studied for approximately six years in Wittenberg (matriculated in 1532, certificate dated April 10, 1539) (see: CERL Thesaurus: https://data.cerl.org/all)

He and his cousin Christoph Pfinzing were ambushed and shot by five Italians on their way from Marloffstein.
