Balthasar II Rummel was first married to Margarete, daughter of Georg Eisvogel. On April 14, 1578, he married Katharina, daughter of Paulus Tetzel. He initially served as administrator of Allersberg in the service of the Palatinate, but later became a Nuremberg citizen again and administrator of Hohenstein, and subsequently of Betzenstein.
