Katharina Rummel, née Tetzel of Sambach, born around 1557, died November 12, 1618.

Balthasar II Rummel was the son of Balthasar I (1508–47) and grandson of Joseph (d. 1525), the brother of Agnes, who later married Hans Frey and was subsequently Albrecht Dürer's mother-in-law. Balthasar II Rummel was the son of Balthasar I (1508–47) and grandson of Joseph (d. 1525), the brother of Agnes, who later married Hans Frey and was later Albrecht Dürer's mother-in-law. Balthasar I's sons, William VII (1540–91), a member of the Inner Council from 1571 to 1575, and Balthasar II (1547–1620), Nuremberg administrator of Hohenstein from 1612 and Nuremberg administrator of Betzenstein (Stierberg) from 1613, purchased the manor and estate of Zant (Amberg-Sulzbach district) after 1576. In 1581, William VII and in 1584, Balthasar II relinquished their Nuremberg citizenship; both retired to their Upper Palatinate holdings. Balthasar II Rummel was first married to Margarete, daughter of Georg Eisvogel. On April 14, 1578, he married Katharina, daughter of Paulus Tetzel. He initially served as administrator of Allersberg in the service of the Palatinate, but later became a Nuremberg citizen again and administrator of Hohenstein, and subsequently of Betzenstein.
