Here rests in God the late, honorable, and distinguished Lord Martin Leitzmann, former chief magistrate and senior court administrator of the Most Reverend Provost of Bamberg Cathedral,

as well as a merchant and trader in Fürth,

inventor and founder of the local public poorhouse and orphanage,

born in Röthenbach on June 29, 1683, died here in Fürth on March 27, 1754.

May God have mercy on his soul.

Funeral text. 1. Reg: 19. v. 4.
