Son of Ernst. ∞ May 8, 1825 Anna Magdalena Wagner (* around 1801 – † October 5, 1873). 1817-24 student at the Nuremberg School of Applied Arts and Albert Reindel. Has been self-employed as an engraver since 1822. In 1827 he exhibited, among other things, a drawing with a perspective view of the Sebaldus Church. At the exhibition of 1833 he was awarded a prize by the Nuremberg magistrate. In 1837 he was a drawing teacher at the commercial school in Nuremberg. Walther drew and watercolored Nuremberg architectural and art monuments. He also sought out old and new masters, including paperbacks, almanacs and much of Heideloff's writings. A series of engravings with explanations appeared in our own publishing house. In 1829 he was based in S. 929 (Wunderburggasse 7), in 1850 in S. 1433a (Laufertormauer 10) and finally in Johannis 134 (Bucher Straße 41/43). Member of the artists' association.
Works: two annual editions of the Albrecht Dürer Association: 1836 the baker's girl based on Kreul, 1849 the portal of the Lorenz Church based on his own drawing.
