* c. 1471 Nuremberg – † September 25, 1529 Nuremberg Grave No. 411 in the Rochus Cemetery, preserved. Son of Gabriel. ∞ January 29, 1499 Clara († 1547), daughter of Lienhard Held, 21 children. Named in 1499, councilor in 1502, Septemvir, 1524 Second Losunger. 1514 warden of the Clara Monastery, 1519 church warden of St. Lorenz, 1524-29 warden of the Holy Spirit Hospital. He promoted the Reformation in Nuremberg. He had Luther's 95 Theses translated into German and printed. Nevertheless, he maintained good relations with Cardinal Albrecht of Brandenburg, Archbishop of Mainz, on whose behalf he made many payments to artisans in Nuremberg. He owned the house at Königstraße 14, which had previously belonged to his father. Panzer recorded his portrait. A medal was issued in 1526. Nützelstraße was named after him. His daughter Agnes married Johann Höger around 1520, and his daughter Katharina married Leonhard II Tucher on October 7, 1522.
